Riverbend Golf Complex and Learning Center is a charming and challenging 18-hole golf course owned by the city of Kent, located in Kent Valley. Designed by John Steidel, it opened in 1989 and features a player-friendly layout that is fun for all levels of players. The course offers a nice variety of holes, and with lakes and over 50 bunkers in play, it's anything but easy. The course plays 6,701 yards from the back tees, but there are four other sets starting at 4,435 yards, making it enjoyable for golfers of all skill levels. The par 5s are particularly strong, with all of them ranking among the nine most difficult holes on the course. The fourth hole is the no. 1 handicap hole, a narrow par-4 with water to the right off the tee. The 18th is a fantastic finishing hole, a light dogleg left par-5 that plays 565 yards. The complex also has a mini golf course, a practice facility, and a learning center for lessons. Visitors can also enjoy the Riverbend Merchandise Center and the Half Lion Public House, offering a wide range of local craft beer, seltzers, appetizers, and sandwiches.
