City Club Marietta golf course is a historic course that celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2015. This course offers challenging shot selections and features new Tif-Eagle Bermuda greens, providing golfers with an exceptional golfing experience. The club originated in 1915 when members of the Marietta Country Club designed a 9-hole layout on the grounds of the former Georgia Military Institute. The initial design included holes that encircled the clubhouse and ran along Powder Springs Street. Fast forward to the 1960s, and City Club Marietta expanded into a full 18-hole course. In 1991, the course opened to the public after being purchased by the City of Marietta, which subsequently enlisted the help of Mike Young Designs to complete a renovation. Even after all these years, City Club Marietta remains a hidden gem for the Marietta golf community, offering a challenging mountain course at an affordable price.
