Eagle Ridge Golf Club is a public-access championship course located in the gated suburban community of Gilroy, California. Designed by Johnny Miller, Ron Fream, and David Dale in 2000, the course is situated amidst rolling terrain that skirts portions of an oak forest and features spring-fed lakes and creeks. The stunning views of the Santa Cruz Range provide a unique selling point, while its championship layout has hosted qualifiers for various golf tournaments. With six different teeing yardages ranging from 5,109 yards to 7,005 yards, the course offers a range of playing options. However, it is not beginner-friendly, presenting out of bounds, water features, tall grass, oak trees, and numerous bunkers that can intimidate golfers. The bunkers, though no longer as steep as they were originally, are still large, dramatic, and devilish, while the putting surfaces are huge, fast, multi-tiered, and undulating. The club's practice facilities include a large driving range, putting green, practice bunker, and short-game area. The clubhouse features a restaurant where players can relax after their round. Situated within an hour's drive of San Francisco and the Monterey Peninsula, Eagle Ridge Golf Club is considered one of the finest courses in the Silicon Valley.
