The Founders Club at Pawleys Island is a new addition to the golf course scene at The Beach. Designed by Thomas Walker, former lead designer for Gary Player Design, this 18 hole course is a beautiful Lowcountry layout that is sure to impress any golfer. The course is visually stunning, with each hole masterfully designed to give the illusion that it is harder than it really plays. Walker and his team took advantage of the natural gold-and-orange sands to serve as transition areas, and moved over 250,000 cubic yards of dirt to make the flatter front side resemble the more rolling back nine. The fairways are covered in Emerald Bermuda grass and the greens are 419 Bermuda, providing a smooth surface for optimal putting.
