Hidden Hills Golf Club is a beautiful Arnold Palmer signature design golf course located in Jacksonville. It is situated on the hills and fairways of a historic battleground, which was formerly the location of the Greater Jacksonville Open on the PGA Tour. This golf course is also the site of a ground battle between France and Spain many centuries ago. The Greater Jacksonville Open was held at Hidden Hills from 1970 to 1972 and was later moved to Sawgrass. Gary Player, Tony Jacklin, and Don January were the champions at Hidden Hills before the tournament moved to Sawgrass. The course was redesigned by Arnold Palmer in 1986 and has an overall length of 6,892 yards from the back tees. However, there are four other sets of tees to suit every level, starting at 5,021 yards. The fairways are lined with tall pines and mature oaks, and water comes into play on a few holes. The golf course's tricky elevated greens are well-bunkered, making Hidden Hills one of the more challenging courses in North Florida. The club has excellent practice facilities, which include a driving range, chipping green, and putting green. Additionally, the club's PGA Professionals are available for individual or group lessons. Members and guests can also enjoy the well-stocked golf shop, locker rooms, and the Hills Grill, which serves lunch or cold beverages seven days a week before or after golf.
