The North Palm Beach Country Club is a golf course with a rich history that dates back almost a century. Originally known as the "Palm Beach Winter Club," it was designed by renowned architect Seth Raynor in 1926. The club was intended to attract real estate investors and Palm Beach socialites who arrived by car or yacht on Lake Worth. In 1962, the Village of North Palm Beach acquired the club, and it underwent a redesign in 2006 and an upgrade in 2019. As one of the notable courses on the Florida Historic Golf Trails, the club is now publicly accessible. The Jack Nicklaus Course at North Palm Beach Country Club offers a unique golf experience that pays homage to the area's heritage while incorporating Nicklaus' Signature playability. Nicklaus made use of the course's native sand dunes to create a design that emphasizes strategy, variety, and fair shot values. He expressed his vision for the course, saying, "What's on that ground has my expression of what should be on that ground." Unlike most South Florida courses, North Palm Beach features elevation changes, generous fairways, and undulated well-bunkered greens. Several holes run alongside the beautiful Intracoastal Waterway, providing stunning views of the blue waters and rolling terrain. Designed to challenge and engage players of all skill levels, the course at North Palm Beach Country Club is considered one of the premier golf destinations in Florida. It is one of only two Nicklaus Signature Municipal courses in the United States.
