The course was designed by Robert Trent Jones II, opened in 1983, and features 18 holes of championship-level play. The layout of the course features few trees and is situated in an exposed, windy area near the bay, with marshlands in view. Shoreline Golf Links plays as short as 5,429 yards and as long as 6,988 yards, with four sets of tee markers, making it playable for golfers of varying skill levels. The course has a character-filled back nine that factors in environmentally sensitive areas and is known for its forced-carry par 3s and strong quartet of par 5s, making it fun for long hitters and skilled players. The clubhouse features a pro shop and a remodeled restaurant, and there is also a driving range, chipping area, sand bunker, and putting green on the premises.
