Spruce Creek Country Club is a golf course situated in a fly-in community, which was a military air training site in the past. Designed by Bill Amick and Ron Garl, the 6,841-yard golf course is a popular choice among golf enthusiasts in the Daytona Beach area. The front side of the course has a traditional layout with tree-lined fairways that run along the community's private airstrip. The back nine is relatively more open but has water hazards on several holes. Golfers need to be precise off the tee as water comes into play on the par-4 ninth and between the par-3 17th and par-4 18th holes. The no.1 handicap hole, the eighth, is a 519-yard, par-5 that requires an accurate tee shot through a narrow chute of trees. The club also offers excellent practice facilities including a driving range, short-game area with bunker, and putting green. Additionally, the semi-private club provides a well-stocked golf shop and restaurant in the clubhouse. The Prop N' Fore Restaurant, open every day with varying hours, serves delicious appetizers, salads, fish tacos, burgers, sandwiches, and a full bar.
