Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club, formerly known as Hauppauge Country Club, is a stunning golf course that reopened in 2001. The course was designed by renowned golf course architect Gil Hanse and George Bahto, author of The Evangelist of Golf; The Story of Charles Blair Macdonald, drawing inspiration from classic early American architecture. The course was designed by early 1900s classic architects C.B. Macdonald and Seth Raynor, incorporating famous holes from courses such as National Golf Links, Piping Rock, and Fisher's Island. The par-70 course is just 6,245 yards long and features three sets of tees, starting at less than 5,000 yards to allow everyone to enjoy it. The course has classic bunkering, tee boxes, and push-up style greens with modern agronomic features. Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club has a rating of well over four stars on GolfPass, and it features classic golf course features such as ragged bunkers and Redan and Biarritz greens. The course also has several water features and mature hardwoods lining many of its holes, making it a beautiful parkland design. In addition to the course, Stonebridge Golf Links & Country Club features a well-stocked golf shop in the large clubhouse on the property. Golfers can receive lessons on the tee or on the course, and the clubhouse and outdoor gazebo and patios are perfect for special events or weddings. The club also has a bar and grill with a full menu, open every day for golfers and non-golfers to enjoy before or after rounds. This semi-private club is open for the public to enjoy, making it a great place for golfers of all levels to experience a classic golf course design.
