The Quarry Golf Course is a Keith Foster design located in San Antonio, Texas and is only a five-minute drive from the San Antonio International Airport. The site of the golf course is located in the Cementville section of San Antonio and has a rich history, having been built on the location of the old Alamo Quarry and cement-making company. The course is divided into two nines that have distinct characteristics and a unique feel. The front nine has a Scottish links-style layout with rolling hills, high grass, reeds, and heather. Creeks and streams are present as well. The back nine is situated entirely within the abandoned quarry, and towering, 100-foot limestone walls frame three sides of the playing field. The limestone ridges and deep ravines framed by a 40-foot waterfall make the par-3 17th a dramatic and memorable hole. The course also has ties to the site's history, including the iconic 200-foot tall smokestacks visible in the distance and the renovated clubhouse that features historic photos. Practice facilities include a full driving range, a short game area with sand bunkers, and a putting green. The Quarry Restaurant serves breakfast through happy hour and is a local favorite. The Quarry Golf Course is a unique and highly varied experience with real ties to San Antonio history.
